1st Day of Kindergarten

Noah started Kindergarten almost 2 months ago now. I can't believe we are the parents of a Kindergartener. My does time fly!

He's loving school, his classmates and thankfully after school care as well. When I pick him up each evening he's the life of the party with all the kids. It's been so fun to watch.

The hubby drops him off each morning and I'll pick him up. It's been fun meeting all the new parents and attending a few PTA and school events so far.

Aquarium Family Adventures

We purchased season passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium earlier this year and only just made our second visit this past weekend. The boys had a great time running around (literally) to each exhibit and experiencing all the aquarium had to offer.

There's so much to see and do here, we never seem to get it all done in one visit. We did fit in a 15 minute presentation & video about Great White Sharks which I though was just fantastic. A must see!

Whole Foods had several local vendor booths at the aquarium on this particular day from children's activities to tasty treat samples. It was really amazing to see all the local vendors that Whole Foods carries. The organic chocolate bars were probably our favorite.

Puffins!

I seemed to be the only one in our family that though all these little "nemo's" were so cool.

Signage of Sorts

I have the best time making fun menu cards for the boys birthday family dinners at home. For the most part, they get to pick the menu and I try to make it as fun and special for them on their special day.

I'll print the menu on cardstock and glue it to a piece of cardstock in another color to create a fun border. Afterwards I put them in their baby books so they can look back on them once their bigger.

I also love creating fun birthday cake décor for them.

And 1stt day of school signs...

9th Anniversary in Scottsdale, AZ

The hubby and I were able to get away for a long weekend to celebrate our 9th anniversary. We (ok, I picked it) decided on Scottsdale for some pool lounging and relaxation. We stayed at the Omni Monte Lucia which was amazing! From the breathtaking property to the amazing customer service to the scrumptious food....we had the best time. And I got to read 2 whole books! #winning #thatneverhappenswithkidsaround

A special shout out to the Cornell's for watching the boys so we could enjoy a carefree weekend away as hubby and wifey.

Dessert at The Montauk

I'd never seen a cactus this big! They were so beautiful!

Highly recommend Old Town. It's filled with lovely gift shops and restaurants.

The guacamole cart at The Mission. So good!

Spicy chicken tacos at The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale

The private pool for spa members at the Omni. A MUST see! The perfect view of Camelback Mountain. We laid here all day!

Huge doors into what I think was their event space for weddings. I think we counted 2 weddings each day we were there.

My last photo I took of the hotel property and the stunning Camelback Mountain while enjoying breakfast before getting my last sun rays before our flight home.

Crafts & An Attempt to Sewing

Here are a few pics of some fun craft projects and my attempt at sewing my first burp cloths I did a while back.

Wooden house blocks with chalkboard paint.

White Home Depot tiles turned into homemade coasters.

Fun burp cloths for some girlfriends who were expecting.

I LOVE to make Holiday labels and tags and just about anything else for fun treats for the boys friends. Here are just a few that I've created over the years.

Kindergarten Lunchtime Favorites

Now that Noah's in school I've really had such a great time making his daily lunches. You can be as creative as you like or have time to be.

Here's a few of my favorites:

I preprinted a TON of his favorite characters and fun little lunch notes online so I have enough to last me for months. So everyday when he opens his lunch, he gets a fun little note from me.
